Noribachi Partners With Seahurst Electric On LED Gym Lighting Upgrade For Madisonville Consolidated Independent School District
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 03, 2014 -- Noribachi, a leading U.S.-based custom LED manufacturer for high output commercial and industrial lighting solutions partnered with Seahurst Electric to deliver LED lighting upgrade solutions for the Madisonville Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) in Madisonville, TX.
The project goals, outlined by CMTA Consulting Engineers (http://www.cmtaegrs.com), a leader in sustainable building project consulting, were to achieve better lighting, enhance energy efficiency and reduce maintenance costs across the school district’s five gyms. The high school gym lighting also needed to be upgraded to meet IES recommendations and University Interscholastic League (UIL) requirements for lighting safety per the state of Texas.
“Four of the gyms were one-for-one replacements of 400W metal halide fixtures with Noribachi’s 158W Highbay.M fixtures. The fifth was a newer competition gym where we reduced the number of fixtures and increased light levels,” said Eric Reeves, Energy & Engineering Services Manager, Seahurst Electric. “We are really happy with the results. We have met IES and UIL light level requirements, which the existing system did not meet. End results will provide 66% annual energy savings, from 55,727 kWh per year usage to 18,837 kWh, in the competition gym alone.”
