North American Title Co. adds Neubauer as manager of its Lakeway, Texas, branch
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- Carol Neubauer has joined North American Title Co. to manage its Lakeway branch, the company’s newest Austin-area branch. Neubauer got her start in the title business in 1998 as an escrow assistant. Since then, she has managed a HUD unit and a homebuilder’s office, in addition to opening and managing two branches for Austin title companies.

The Austin Board of Realtors® (ABoR) reported Austin-area home prices hit an all-time high in April, with the median price rising 6 percent to $239,900 compared to April 2013. The area’s single-family home sales kept pace with last year’s, with 2,479 single-family homes sold, an increase of 1 percent from last year’s figure.
However, the Austin market experienced 2 percent fewer new listings, 3 percent fewer active listings and 6 percent fewer pending sales in April 2014 than one year ago. With demand for homes outstripping the number of homes available to buy, the inventory of homes for sale is now only 2.3 months. On average, homes are spending only 45 days on the market – five days fewer than in April 2013. ABoR said it expects this year’s summer selling season to be one of the most competitive markets the city has ever seen.

As the third of seven children from a military family, Neubauer was born in Colorado and lived in Japan, Bermuda, California, Missouri and New Mexico as a child. She has lived in Austin for 26 years and appreciates the live music scene of the city.
