North Carolina Azalea Festival Goes Mobile with New App
Wilmington, NC (PRWEB) December 17, 2013 -- Here’s a modern twist on a Southern tradition -- the 67th North Carolina Azalea Festival has launched a new app. It’s a whole new way to experience the grandest party in the South, which is just four months away.
“This is a contemporary, technological twist for a festival that is steeped in tradition. The North Carolina Azalea Festival is now a ‘scene to be seen’ not only in Wilmington, but wherever you go with your mobile device,” says Stephen E. Coble, president of the 2014 North Carolina Azalea Festival.
Users can access real-time festival information and updates with their Apple and Droid phone or tablet. The app allows users to access everything they need for this year’s Azalea Festival. Users can buy tickets; view event lineups; access interactive maps; get real-time updates on concerts, weather and parking; and find local listings for dining, hotels, shopping and more.
The app offers breaking news on entertainment announcements, behind-the-scenes interviews, and insider tips. There will also be contests and promotions available only to app users. The app is now available on Google Play and iTunes and is free of charge.
“Get the best Azalea Festival coverage right at your fingertips and take the five-day celebration of springtime Southern style on the move,” says Coble.
The North Carolina Azalea Festival is excited to offer innovative ways to incorporate local and national partnerships with this app platform. For more information on inclusion in the app, please call contact us.
