North Carolina Central University Selects N2N Services Inc to provide Student Engagement Platform for the Students, Faculty and Advisors
(PRWEB) February 17, 2015 -- N2N Services, a leading technology company focused on the educational technology ecosystem, has recently begun work on setting up their innovative integration, mobile and portal systems for North Carolina Central University (NCCU). N2N Services is also supporting the installation and integration of a new degree audit system. Once installed, these systems will provide a broad range of capabilities to assist students, faculty, and staff in leveraging NCCU’s information assets.
The technology will include features such as:
• The ability for students to register for classes from their mobile devices using shopping cart registration module
• A way for students to monitor their accounts and to pay bills online, both using mobile or traditional desktop systems
• Easy access to schedules, integrated with digital content as well as assessment data from faculty
• Providing faculty with a simple and secure way to take class attendance
• Providing faculty and advisors with early alerts to monitor student progress and provide aid to at risk students, minimizing risk of dropout
• The capability to make degree requirements accessible from both desktop and mobile devices
• The ability to access Financial Aid data and interact with the Financial Aid counselor using messaging module
• The capability to interact with different modules and features provided by the Student Information System (SIS), Enrollment Management System and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Once the system is installed, the NCCU students will have seamless access to all the information they need for their college life at just the touch of a button on their mobile device. This information will be available at any hour or day of the week allowing students to keep up to date, whether they are waiting for class to start, or pulling an all-nighter to finish a paper due the next day.
Joel Dunn, N2N Services’ Vice President of Technology, said that this software “will position NCCU to leverage today’s portfolio of educational technology applications to benefit current students and faculty, yet also positions the University to take advantage of the modular enterprise systems of the future.”
