Take a journey into America's past with living historians, dressed in 18th century attire, who demonstrate what life was once like in this early port town, including cooking and blacksmithing. Visitors will learn about 18th century electrical experiments, visit with the colonial dentist, take a turn in the stocks and pillory, try their hand at the militia drill, dip their own beeswax candle, and kids can play 18th century games.

Start the holiday festivities with Ocean Isle Beach and their Super Saturday line-up. The Holiday Parade kicks off at 2:00 pm and is followed by the Tree Lighting on the causeway at 5:00 pm. Boats of all sizes and shapes, power and sail will illuminate the dark night all the way From the North Pole to Southport. Southport Elementary School art students will judge the boats on the variety and creativity of their decorations.
