North Country Auto’s Randy Norsworthy Inspires Students and the Community
Presque Isle, ME (PRWEB) July 25, 2015 -- Randy is known throughout Aroostook County for his quality car dealership and honest dealings, but is revered for his charity work, and is a supporter of more than a dozen causes.
“This is something I truly believe in, as the Aroostook Aspirations Initiative (AAI) and its allies are dedicated to helping students of Aroostook County, Maine, realize their dreams of attending college and maintaining a successful career here in the county,” said Randy. “Each year, AAI awards college scholarships, grants and mentors to students that have exceptional leadership skills, good grades, ethic and prove to be a positive role model in their community.
The Aroostook Aspirations Initiative stems from the migration of Aroostook County youth from the county and giving a boost to the Northern Maine economy. Randy, an Aroostook County businessman for more than 40 years, spoke about living in the county the importance of family, long standing relationships, teamwork and positive thinking. Randy and his organization strive to educate local students about the educational opportunities available to them in their hometown, thus mobilizing the future prosperity of Aroostook County.
A true role model and big believer in giving back, Randy, in addition to speaking, gave out inspirational books to all of the students attending the event. The books were written by one of Randy’s favorite authors, Jon Gordon, with the main focus being on life lessons and positive attitudes. One of Randy’s favorite quotes that he tries to live by is, “I believe that you can get everything in life you want, if you will help enough people get what they want!” This includes not only financial success, but in all aspects of life, including family, friends and faith. This quote was written by the late Zig Ziglar. Another one of Randy’s favorites that he shared with the young and eager scholars was, “ it ain’t the rain, the snow, the boss, the competition, the spouse, the money, the car, the job or the kids…..it’s you. It’s always been you.”
