North Oaks Golf Club Selects New General Manager
NORTH OAKS, Minnesota (PRWEB) December 05, 2014 -- North Oaks Golf Club announced the selection of Joel Livingood as General Manager. “Joel brings a proven track record, great organizational skills, outstanding leadership, and great enthusiasm to our Club,” declared Andy Cecere, President of North Oaks Golf Club. “He was the clear and unanimous first choice of our selection committee.”
As general manager, Mr. Livingood will be responsible for all operations at the 65-year-old North Oaks Golf Club, reporting to the Board of Directors through its President. Succeeding 25-year General Manager Dick Haugen, Mr. Livingood is charged with continuing to foster a unique sense of community among Club members and guests through extraordinary personal service.

Mr. Livingood eagerly returns to the Twin Cities area, where he resided previously while earning a business degree from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. At an early age, he began his career at the Oxbow Country Club, near his hometown of Fargo, North Dakota. In 11 years at Oxbow, he worked in nearly every operational area on his way to achieving that club’s general management role in 2011. “I love the hospitality business. I can’t imagine, for me, a career in any other field,” revealed Mr. Livingood.
Regarding the 25-year tenure of outgoing general manager Dick Haugen, Mr. Cecere acknowledged, “Dick is an icon in the Minnesota private club community. His leadership and thoughtful guidance has helped place North Oaks among the premier private clubs – with an outstanding golf course, stable membership, outstanding facilities and a staff second to none.”
