North Shore Eye Care Expands Services on Long Island With Addition of Pediatric Ophthalmologist, Michelle Liebert, MD

Liebert, MD to their medical staff, according to Jeffrey Martin, MD, medical director and chief surgeon of North Shore Eye Care.

Dr. Liebert is an experienced Board-Certified ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric eye care and strabismus. “The entire staff and medical team at North Shore Eye Care are extremely proud to have such a specialist on our staff,” said Martin. Dr. Liebert’s experience includes training with the finest surgeons at Harvard’s Boston Children’s Hospital, including working with children from the Neonatal ICU during the past twelve years. In addition to the compassion, surgical skills and knowledge she brings to North Shore Eye Care, Dr. Liebert’s unique and personal approach to caring for children is welcoming to both parents and their children alike.

Dr. Liebert received her medical degree from SUNY Syracuse, completed residency training at NYU Manhattan Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital in 2001 and completed a Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Fellowship at Harvard’s Boston Children’s Hospital. “Children are more than miniature adults,” said Dr. Liebert, “and their eye problems require diagnostic and treatment methods that are different from adults. I look forward to working with children of all ages to help them enjoy a lifetime of the best possible vision.”
