North Shore Eye Wins ‘Best of Long Island’ in Two Categories in This Year’s Voting
Smithtown, NY (PRWEB) February 12, 2014 -- Once again, the doctors and staff of North Shore Eye Care have won in two different categories in the annual ‘Best of Long Island’ contest, the largest business and professional awards program in the history of Long Island. According to eye surgeon, Jeffrey Martin, MD, North Shore Eye Care won the ‘Best Ophthalmologists’ category and the ‘Best LASIK Surgery Practice’ category in this year’s voting.

The Best of Long Island contest is conducted each year by the Long Island Press newspaper. More than 1 million people across Long Island vote each year, which turns out to be the largest participation in the event’s 10-year history. In this year’s voting between July 1 – August 31st, voters were allowed to choose ‘Best Of’ in 360 total categories. The top 15-18 nominees advanced to the final voting round, which began October 1. Voting closed in December 15 and the results were recently verified and posted by UPickEm, a 3rd party administrator who oversees the Bethpage Best of L.I. voting pages.
