North Texas Startup Accelerator Accepting Applications
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) September 26, 2014 -- The Collide Village Accelerator Program (CVAP) has opened applications for its first class of startups. The CVAP will host six tech startups and provide them with $25K seed money, access to elite mentors, and other assistance during its four-month accelerator program.
Companies selected to the CVAP will have access to an additional $50K convertible note to fund their startup, and the opportunity to present their products to top venture capitalists as they wrap up the program.
The accelerator is seeking companies with innovative technologies in mobile, software, web, consumer services, education and media arenas.
CVAP is a milestone driven accelerator, and startups are measured against their goals throughout the four-month program. CVAP works with the startups to build their Investment Readiness Level in preparation for presentations to venture capitalists. This offers the best assessment of risk for potential investors.
According to Tahir Hussain, CEO of The Collide Village, there is one criteria for success of a startup at Collide, “At the end of the day, do they have customers waiting and dying to buy the products?”
Located in Addison, TX, at the Addison Treehouse, The Collide Village is close connections to the Dallas entrepreneurship community through its location and its relationships.
Startups interested in applying to the fall CVAP class should visit http://www.collidevillage.com/accelerator/ and fill out an online application.
