Northwood Neighborhood Awards Accepting Nominations for 2015
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) April 28, 2015 -- Northwood Realty Services, in partnership with IN Community Magazines, is accepting nominations through June 15, 2015 for the second annual Northwood Neighborhood Awards. The Awards features the best of Greater Pittsburgh’s individual streets, residential developments, local parks, yard sales, architectural styles, and more across seven different categories.
“We’re pleased to present the Northwood Neighborhood Awards again this year and look forward to revealing more of our region’s best kept secrets,” said Tom Hosack, CEO and president of Northwood Realty Services. “While our 1,000 real estate agents across the region know all about the hidden treasures found in neighborhoods and communities throughout Western PA, it’s great to get residents involved and reward them for spotlighting their favorite places.”
Any resident may freely nominate a deserving neighborhood within Allegheny, Butler, Washington or Westmoreland counties, across a range of categories:
• Best All-Around Neighborhood: (East, West, North & South)
• Neighborhood Spirit Award: A category just for kids to enter!
• Friendliest Neighborhood Park
• Best Neighborhood Yard Sale
• Best Block Party
• Best Architecture or Landscaping
• Best Community Day/Event
“This year, we’re excited that the winner in each category will win a $250 gift card prize, in addition to well-deserved bragging rights, with online and print recognition,” noted Hosack. “Last year, we showcased some truly special places, but we know there are many others that help make our region one of the best places to live in the country.”

Nominations are free and open to all residents. Nominations simply require completion of the online form, along with photos and/or multimedia submissions. Each nomination will be reviewed by a diverse panel of neighborhood experts from Northwood Realty Services, IN Community Magazines, and other key affiliates and partners. Winners will be announced this fall and the top entry in each category will receive a $250 gift card.
