Nov. 12 Federal Fund Management Advisor Webinar to Provide Tips on Managing Grant-Funded Intellectual Property
Washington, DC (PRWEB) October 28, 2013 -- The federal rules associated with “intangible property” generated under federal grants are arcane, at best, and can generate as many questions as they answer. In “Sorting Out Intellectual Property Created Under Federal Grants,” the upcoming Nov. 12 webinar from Federal Fund Management Advisor, federal grants expert Bob Lloyd will answer those questions and provide the tools that federally funded organizations can use to manage this intellectual property.
This information-packed webinar will help organizations learn how to manage grant-funded intellectual property to their advantage by answering questions such as:
• What’s considered intangible property under a federal grant or subgrant?
• What are the uniform federal administrative requirements affecting intangible property?
• Why are the requirements of the Bayh-Dole Technology Transfer Act of 1980 important?
• Who owns intangible property created under a federal grant or subgrant?
• How can a grantee manage this property to its best advantage?
• What notices are required about federal support and federal disclaimers?
• What are best practices concerning employee rights to intellectual property?
• What are best practices concerning contractor and subrecipient rights to intellectual property?
• What do grantees need to know about federal agency “march-in” rights?
• How may revenue earned from sale of intangible property be used?
• What are the requirements of the Shelby Amendment concerning federal use of grantee data?
