NOVAtime Technology, Inc. Pleasantly Surprises Vivage with Easy-to-Use Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) Reporting
Diamond Bar, California (PRWEB) July 19, 2016 -- NOVAtime Technology, Inc. (http://www.novatime.com), a leading provider of Workforce Management solutions for enterprise organizations, supports implementation of Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) reporting for Vivage Senior Living. The Affordable Care Act under section 6106, mandates every healthcare facility to submit direct care staffing information based off of payroll and any other auditable data. The mandate went into effect July 1, 2016 which caused Vivage—who has a staff of over 3,000 employees across 31 locations—to seek help from NOVAtime to report the required PBJ information to the CMS.
Vivage (http://www.vivage.com/) has been offering Independent and Assisted Living communities since 2013. Facilities are located throughout Colorado with another in Oklahoma. Vivage offers state-of-the-art apartments and residence living facilities for individuals who are in rehabilitation or looking for their new home. Vivage staff—comprised of nurses, dietary aids, physical therapists, and support staff—are well equipped to handle patients who are post-acute care, post-hospital rehabilitation, or even in need of in-home care.
Vivage started out in 2013 with NOVAtime 4000 Time and Attendance / Workforce Management SaaS solution, and paired with Paylocity for their payroll process. The new mandate issued under the Affordable Care Act led Vivage to decide to upgrade to the latest NOVAtime 5000 SaaS solution, which is equipped to support PBJ reporting, in addition to mandatory sick leaves, FMLA, multi-lingual, and Advanced Scheduling, just to name a few. Tillie Handy, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, was pleasantly surprised by the ease of working with NOVAtime to implement this new process. Handy stated, “Paul, our implementation engineer, has been timely with responses and truly amazing. Joyce has been extremely supportive. Working with NOVAtime has been nothing but a pleasant experience.”
The first run-through of PBJ submission to CMS can be stressful, but Handy had only positive things to say about the first working session. Handy stated, “NOVAtime’s PBJ solution is very user-friendly and was easily taught to over 40 location managers and supervisors. NOVAtime’s system takes care of the complex XML reporting in the backend—it’s transparent to us.” Since Vivage’s facility location needed to turn in its own PBJ report, it was crucial that every facility manager was comfortable with running PBJ and submitting it to CMS. Ms. Handy was well aware that every adult learner has their own learning style and was thankful that NOVAtime hosted a webinar specifically to teach Vivage managers to use PBJ. ”NOVAtime was responsive to me as a user and a manager, as well as all of the managers learning the system. They provided screen shots of the actual system, which were great visual aids, and they walked us through a PowerPoint to maximize learning preferences.” Lonnie Callies, from Human Resources, was one of the first managers to run PBJ from end-to-end and submit to CMS. Mr. Callies verifies, “NOVAtime’s PBJ is easy to use once we were trained; it only took about five to ten minutes to complete.”
