Novogradac & Company LLP Names New Principals
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) January 03, 2014 -- Novogradac & Company LLP, a national CPA and consulting firm headquartered in San Francisco with 15 offices nationwide, announced six individuals have been elevated to principal. Nat Eng, Angie Taylor and Miao Xue of the San Francisco office; Amanda Read of the Dover, Ohio office; David Boisture of the metro Washington, D.C. office; and Bryan Hung of the Long Beach, Calif. office will continue the firm’s reputation of excellent client service in the affordable housing, community development, historic preservation and renewable energy tax credit industries.

Mr. Eng focuses on renewable energy transactions. He works with numerous renewable energy developers, syndicators and investors by providing assurance, consulting and transaction advisory services. Prior to joining Novogradac & Company, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP specializing in banking and capital markets clients. Mr. Eng received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Penn State University. He is licensed in New York as a certified public accountant.
Ms. Taylor provides tax compliance, planning and consulting services for multistate partnerships, closely held corporations, trusts and high net worth individuals. She is also experienced in the taxation of wineries and vineyards. Prior to joining Novogradac & Company, she spent more than three years with a firm specializing in audit, tax and consulting services for construction contractors and high net worth individuals. Ms. Taylor received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting emphasis from California State University Fresno. She is licensed in California as a certified public accountant.
Ms. Xue has broad experience in real estate audits and tax returns and multistate tax returns. She also provides numerous financial modeling and consulting services to members of the low-income housing, renewable energy, historic rehabilitation and new markets tax credit industries. Prior to returning to Novogradac & Company LLP, she worked as an acting manager in the real estate group of Ernst & Young LLP. Ms. Xue received a master’s degree in accounting from San Francisco State University. She is licensed in California as a certified public accountant.
Ms. Read provides a wide range of services to community development entities, including agreed-upon procedures for new markets tax credit (NMTC) qualification and compliance issues, and annual audit and tax work. She assists her clients in transaction structuring, financial modeling, NMTC compliance and reporting, due diligence and feasibility, and navigating accounting and tax issues. Her experience includes working with complex financing for community development real estate projects, including using NMTCs, historic and rehabilitation tax credits, public/private partnerships, and other federal, state and local tax credits and incentives. She is also a frequent speaker at the pre-conference workshops at the firm’s NMTC conferences. She is also experienced in attesting to qualified active low-income community business determinations in accordance with the NMTC program and works with real estate developers, community development entities, syndicators, lenders and investors on the structuring, financing and syndicating of NMTC transactions, in addition to providing traditional audit and tax services. Additionally, Ms. Read provides a broad range of advisory services to CDEs, including transaction structuring, development and implementation of internal compliance policies and procedures, bookkeeping, monthly loan servicing and asset management, compliance review and Community Development Financial Institutions Fund reporting. Amanda also focuses on the low-income housing tax credit, providing consulting services for real estate developers with an emphasis in the areas of real estate partnership audit and taxation. Ms. Read received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Akron. She is licensed in Ohio as a certified public accountant.
Mr. Boisture is in the firm’s Government Consulting and Valuation Advisory Services (GoVal) group. He has performed or assisted in the preparation of market analyses, feasibility studies, rent comparability studies and appraisals for a variety of residential and commercial property types, including office, retail, industrial and a special uses. He has also assisted in the preparation of valuations for solar panels, wind turbines and other renewable energy installations in connection with financing and structuring analyses performed by various clients. Mr. Boisture has a bachelor's degree from Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Md. and a master’s degree in public administration from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Mr. Boisture is a LEED Green Associate.
Mr. Hung specializes in providing audit, tax and consulting services in the real estate industry. He joined Novogradac & Company in 2005 and has extensive experience working with real estate developers, community development entities, syndicators, lenders and investors on structuring and preparing complex financial forecasts for new markets, historic rehabilitation and renewable energy tax credit transactions. He received a double bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Southern California. Mr. Hung is licensed as a certified public accountant in California.
