West Palm Beach, Florida (PRWEB) November 17, 2015 -- The Manufacturers Association of Florida (MAF) has named NRI the Manufacturer of the Year for 2015. The award honors Florida manufacturers who foster innovation, technology adoption, international trade, workforce development, and supply chain optimization.
Thirty-six judges graded 21 companies on leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus, measurement, analysis and knowledge management, workforce focus, and process management. The MAF's stringent judging process included a comprehensive questionnaire, a phone interview, and a site visit, with finalists being narrowed down at each stage in the rigorous process.
NRI's fellow nominees in the "100 or less employees" category included an electronics manufacturer, an adhesives manufacturer, a tool manufacturer, and a syrup manufacturer. However, it was NRI's dedication to quality, unprecedented growth, and commitment to innovative research and manufacturing techniques, that stood out.
As Chris Lazzara, NRI's CEO says, "NRI is excited to win this award. We had some excellent competition from our fellow Florida manufacturers. This award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our people to keep challenging themselves to always improve and to never be satisfied with the status quo." He continues, "After winning the South Florida Manufacturer's Association award, and now the Florida state award for Manufacturer of the Year, we have some external validation that our company's foundation is solid, and that the path we are on as leaders of our industry, is the right one."
That path includes the continued development and manufacture of cutting-edge composites in our custom-designed, ISO-9001 certified, 30,000 square foot facility located in Riviera Beach, FLA. The space contains training rooms for NRI University, our R&D labs and engineering team, as well as our award-winning manufacturing facility.
