NTC Extends CSR Efforts, Collects 273 Toys for Local Underprivileged Children in Conjunction with Marine Toys for Tots® Foundation
Palm Harbor, FL (PRWEB) December 23, 2013 -- NTC, a leading documents research and post-closing services provider for the residential mortgage industry, recently continued its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts with its annual toy drive for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. NTC has participated in Toys for Tots for three consecutive years, and the company ended this year’s drive with a record-breaking total of 273 toys donated from the company and its employees—the toys will be distributed throughout the community to children in need, in honor of the holiday season.
NTC chooses to lend CSR to a variety of initiatives, particularly support of community-based organizations that focus on improving the lives of Tampa Bay’s children. NTC employees participated in the donation drive by organizing and contributing toys for children of all ages including, but not limited to:

●Sporting equipment/bags/balls;
●Stuffed animals;
●Books;
●Board games;
●Action figures;
●Toddler toys;
●Skateboards/helmets.
Due to increased employee participation and community awareness, NTC was able to amass its highest number of donations to date. The company has also had a long tradition of donating a substantial portion of its holiday gift budget, previously designated for client gifts, toward this cause. Toys for Tots coordinators collected the toys, which will be stored in central warehouses for sorting by age and gender. Erika Lance, NTC’s Chief Human Resources Officer, believes that the efforts of the company go a long way in establishing holiday cheer among the less fortunate.

In addition to its toy donations, NTC’s CSR program extends to its community affairs—the company helped to stabilize Palm Harbor by supporting local food banks, as well as by employing and training over 300 nearby residents. Many of NTC’s employees also regularly organize and partake in community events such as blood and food drives. NTC executives are currently looking ahead with plans to extend the corporate sustainability practices as the backbone of NTC culture.
Toys for Tots also accepts donations in person or online; financial gifts may be submitted via credit card and directed in care of the Marine Reserve Unit in Tampa to support local children.
