Nurses and Pharmacists Are Uniting At The Immunoglobulin National Society (IgNS)
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) February 24, 2015 -- IgNS announced today that the organization has made a strategic decision, under the new name Immunoglobulin National Society, to expand its membership, educational programs and conferences to include pharmacists.
IgNS has been on the forefront of advancing the Ig Nursing field. Our groundbreaking initiatives have included the IgNS National Conference, Ig Certified Nurse credentialing, and the IgNS Standards of Practice.
“With all our focus and commitment to Ig Nursing, we have always been keenly aware of the importance of pharmacists in patient and therapy management. Moreover, the nurse-pharmacist collaboration and teamwork is critical to patient success across all sites of care”, said Jan E Jones, RN, MSN, IgCN, President of IgNS.
The upcoming IgNS 4th National Conference, taking place Sep 18-20, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill, Washington DC will offer sessions and advanced educational tracks designed specifically for pharmacists and nurses, as well as CE and recertification units. Over 450 attendees are expected to convene to deepen their clinical expertise, expand their knowledge, collaborate and network.
This important development brings further clinical relevance, and facilitates a comprehensive approach to Ig therapy education and knowledge exchange platforms. We remain committed to all our Ig Nursing initiatives, and are excited to bring the Ig healthcare community together.
