NYC 3rd Quarter 2013 Residential Sales by Neighborhood
NYC, New York (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- The latest report from the five boroughs of New York has recently been released by the REBNY (Real Estate Board of New York). The report from the agency is considered to be the most comprehensive as it includes the real transactions that have taken place.
The neighborhoods of Manhattan recorded the most sales with the Upper East Side recording 1,075 sales, the Upper West Side (840), Midtown East (358), Midtown West (311), Gramercy/Kips Bay (283) and Chelsea/Flatiron (279).
In Brooklyn, the sale of homes was more concentrated in Bedford Stuyvesant which recorded 250 sales followed by Park Slope at 230, East New York/Spring Creek 167, Gravesend/Mapleton 165, Bay Ridge/Fort Hamilton 157 and Bushwick/Wyckoff Heights 139.
The Queens neighborhoods saw the most sales in Flushing with 539 homes followed by Rego Park/Forest Hills/Kew Gardens 463, Jackson Heights/Elmhurst 286 and Richmond Hill/South Ozone Park/Woodhaven 286.
In the third quarter of 2013, the Bronx neighborhoods saw the most sales in Riverdale/Fieldston where the figures stand at 132 with Parkchester/WestchesterSquare/Castle Hill/Soundview following at 110. The other sales that took place in the area were City Island/Pelham Bay/Pelham Strip/Country Club/Throgs Neck/Schuylerville at 98 followed by Woodlawn/Williamsbridge at 84.
