Oasis Energy Produces Video Tutorial to Help Consumers Reduce Cooling Costs.
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) July 18, 2013 -- Oasis Energy releases a new video called “Reduce your electricity bill by programming your thermostat...it's easy!”
According to the Department of Energy, roughly half of an average home’s energy is consumed by heating and cooling the home. Oasis Energy sees this as an opportunity for energy savings.
During the summer, the largest contributor to high electricity bills is the air conditioning system and that is what Oasis Energy’s video takes aim at.
Oasis Energy’s video is encouraging consumers to program their thermostats, and they provide a demonstration on how easy it is to do.
“Programming your thermostat is the single most effective way to reduce your energy expenses. It could reduce the cooling and heating portion of your utility bills by 20 to 35%,” said Justin Snyder, Oasis Energy’s National Brand Manager.
“What’s amazing is how many people already have programmable thermostats installed in their homes, but they haven’t programmed them yet. It only takes a few minutes to set up, and the savings are substantial. In many cases the annuals savings is over $150,” said Snyder.
In the past Oasis Energy has released energy savings tips through photos and posts on their blog and social media pages. They are now expanding their tips to video and are posting them to the official Oasis Energy YouTube account.
Oasis Energy’s video aims to show that programming a thermostat is not overly complex and only takes a few minutes.
“Programming a thermostat doesn’t require a huge investment of time or money. It’s simple. It only takes a few minutes, and you don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on the latest technology to achieve the bulk of the savings,” said Snyder.
Oasis Energy is committed to giving back to the local communities they serve. Participating in community improvement projects, charity efforts, environmental awareness, and energy efficiency campaigns.
