Obama for America Presidential Campaign Veteran to Lead Neighborhood Legislature
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) January 21, 2015 -- Neighborhood Legislature, a non-partisan grassroots organization dedicated to structural reform of California’s Legislature, announces Lawrence Green as the organization’s new CEO. Lawrence will lead the organization as it enters the next phase of development and focuses its efforts on passing The Neighborhood Legislature Reform Act in 2016.

Lawrence Green brings to the organization a wealth of knowledge and experience leading organizations focused on serving and empowering communities. Prior to joining Neighborhood Legislature, Lawrence served as Advisor and Transition Team Member to Gov. Christie’s State Appointed District Superintendent and helped to lead transformation efforts in Camden, NJ. As National Director of Outreach and Mobilization at StudentsFirst, an education advocacy organization based in Sacramento, California, Lawrence oversaw all aspects of the Outreach and Mobilization program, both at a national level and in the organization’s 18 states. Lawrence helped lead the Obama for America Presidential Campaign to success both in 2008 and 2012 election cycles, where he was a Regional Field and Political Director, and mastered the organizing techniques that created the winning ground operation. He recruited, trained and managed over 400 top-tier campaign staffers in his role of directing field, political and youth vote programs in the battleground states of Indiana, Texas and Nevada.
Lawrence earned his BA in Political Science from Texas Southern University.
