Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) October 30, 2013 -- News about Obamacare took an odd turn as media outlets such as NBC, CBS, and CNN jumped on the failure of Healthcare.gov to deliver much more than error messages instead of health insurance - and White House Spokesman Jay Carney admitted that some Americans will not be allowed to keep their health plans under Obamacare.
Obamacare Reporter's Jenn X, an out-of-work bartender, researches and posts news stories, videos, blogs, opinions and cartoons about Obamacare all day, every day. She noticed that sources that have been consistently pro-Obamacare suddenly turned sour.
“NBC News dug into the website failures on Oct.17, and noted that the government contract to build the messed-up website started at $94 million, but swelled to $292 million,” Jenn said. ”CBS News reported on Oct. 19 that Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli called the Obamacare debut a ‘national embarrassment,’ and CNN Politics said that the website was ‘unacceptable.’”
USA Today, Jenn said, ran a story the next week describing the administration’s attempts to shore up the tarnished image of Healthcare.gov and Obamacare in general. “They’re saying that the website was built using ten-year old technology and may require a total overhaul.” Two days ago, an editorial in USA Today called Obamacare’s opening act “a farce.”
And Saturday Night Live did a hilarious rip on Kathleen Sebelius trying to educate users on how to actually use Healthcare.gov. The skit was the show's cold open, and featured Kate McKinnon playing Sebelius.
Jenn said that those and hundreds of other stories have been available on Obamacare Reporter since they appeared, and that she recently passed the 17,000 unique visitor milestone and is now busier than ever keeping up.
