Ocean Canyon Properties Appoints Mr. Ben Carr as Vice President of Operations
(PRWEB) February 17, 2015 -- Ocean Canyon Properties (OCP), a privately owned membership camping resort company, is excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Ben Carr as Vice President of Operations.
Mr. Carr brings over 30 years of resort management experience to the company, and began his career in the industry working with Thousand Trails, Inc. During this time with the company, he would work on rejuvenating underperforming resorts in Texas and on the east coast. Eventually, he was promoted to Director of Southeastern Operations and responsible for eleven properties in the resort system. He moved to Michigan in the early 1990’s and was President and CEO of Richfield Lakes, a resort development company. Mr. Carr then purchased an RV park in northern Michigan, transforming it to the highest rated private campground in northern Michigan. He was a member of the founding Board of Regents for the ARVC School of RV Park and Campground Management. During his time as an active board member of the Michigan Association of RV Park and Campgrounds, he was instrumental in instituting fair-competition legislation within the state and in working with other resort owners to develop the resort industry in Michigan.

Mr. Carr originally joined Ocean Canyon in 2008 as as a part of the company’s senior management team. He left in 2012 to work with another developer, but rejoined Ocean Canyon in January 2015. He is a graduate of Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Carr states, “I am pleased to be rejoining Ocean Canyon Properties and am looking forward to working with our corporate and resort management teams as we continue building the finest resort system in the industry. Our operational focus will be on creating great OCP experiences for the members and guests who visit our resorts; continuing with resort-level improvements to infrastructure, buildings, and amenities, as well as working with our company owners as they plan ahead for further expansion to the already robust OCP system.”
