Ocean Hills Recovery, Inc. Throws 5th Annual Sobriety Birthday Bash

Ocean Hills Recovery, Inc., is having its 5th annual birthday bash to celebrate their clients’ milestones in addiction recovery. The 5th annual sobriety birthday bash will take place at Doheny State Beach on July 18, 2015 at 11:00 am. All Ocean Hills Recovery alumni, clients, friends and family members are welcome to join to celebrate with good food, good friends and fun! Ocean Hills Recovery chips will be given to alumni in recognition of years of sobriety.
Ocean Hills Recovery began hosting this annual event in 2011, when their clients’ sobriety milestones started to occur with such frequency that there were parties multiple times a month and sometimes even multiple times in a week! This frequency of sobriety milestones being reached is evidence of how successful the addiction treatment is at Ocean Hills Recovery. They don’t only focus on the short-term treatment of addiction at OHR. Rather, their staff is committed to creating long-term recovery successes in their addiction programs and their clients. A birthday is actually what people in recovery call their “clean and sober anniversary date.” When OHR first began their annual sobriety birthday celebration, they celebrated 20 people who reached 1 or more years of continuous sobriety. This year they will be celebrating over 40 people who have reached 1 or more years of continuous sobriety. OHR alumni will be coming from all over California and the United States to celebrate.
The annual birthday bash is a way for the OHR alumni family to share their recovery success stories with OHR’s current clients in recovery. It’s a day where the current clients of OHR can talk to someone who has overcome similar struggles and receive encouragement from those who are celebrating their addiction recovery. The annual birthday bash is one component of OHR’s alumni program. They also host weekly meetings for their alumni to attend. The annual sobriety birthday bash is one of the many ways Ocean Hills Recovery lives out its mission of creating a recovery community one client at a time.
OHR offers 30, 60, and 90 day residential drug and alcohol treatment programs. They provide a variety of different drug and alcohol rehab programs to ensure a successful, healthy future. Their programs include individual, group and family therapy, along with yoga, gym, home-cooked meals and a staff that really cares including a psychiatrist and licensed psychologists.
