Official PFA Facebook page of Yohan Cabaye see's activity surge as French giants PSG look to acquire his services say Digital Sports Group
(PRWEB UK) 27 January 2014 -- Digital Sports Group today announce that the PFA Facebook page for France and Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has seen huge growth in term of 'likes' and fan interaction as Paris Saint Germain look to bring the highly rated player to Ligue 1. The Facebook page along with the Yohan Cabaye player profile on football.co.uk provide the only online location of the official PFA biography, lifetime stats, news and high resolution gallery.
Signed from Lille on 10th June, 2011, for an undisclosed fee, Yohan Cabaye quickly settled into life at Newcastle United.
The central midfielder was handed the number four shirt by manager Alan Pardew and formed an impressive partnership in the centre of the park with Cheick Tiote as the Magpies made a flying start to the 2011/12 Premier League season.
Cabaye made his debut in the opening game of the campaign against Arsenal on 13th August, and opened his account a couple of months later as he curled home the only goal of the game against Wigan on 22nd October.
He was a key figure in Newcastle achieving a fifth-placed finish - and Europa League football - at the end of the season, with some memorable moments including a stunning free-kick against Manchester United and a brace at home to Stoke City.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say: “Yohan Cabaye really has no shortage of fans after his performances for Newcastle United & France this season and we can see that by the success of his PFA Facebook page.”
“All of us here at Digital Sports Group are proud we've had the opportunity to work with The PFA to give the fans a fantastic and unique fan resource for Yohan Cabaye.”
DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player Profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk.
