(OPCS) today announced that it has licensed ActualMeds’ cloud-based comprehensive medication management software for use by its national network of licensed consulting pharmacists. OPCS provides comprehensive medication review and targeted intervention programs as part of its Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services to healthcare plans and other third party suppliers of these services.

CMS continues to move in the direction of expanding targeted beneficiaries for MTM, as well as elevating certain MTM metrics to STARS pay for performance measures for these plans in the near future. (STARS is the Medicare evaluation program by which Medicare Advantage Plans are ranked and earn incentive payments for their performance against a set of quality process and outcomes measures.)
