Ohio Social Security Disability Attorney Henry Acciani Comments on Projected Social Security Funding Issues
Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) July 29, 2014 -- Henry Acciani, a social security disability attorney and partner at O’Connor, Acciani & Levy, comments on the recent allegation by the Association of Mature American Citizens that the government is running out of social security funds faster than expected.
“We are saddened to hear that in the future those who have worked hard to prepare themselves for their imminent retirement could see this dream fade away,” said Acciani.
"We hope that the government will soon determine how to fix the alleged issues with social security funding and that no American will be without the funds they need as they get older.”
On July 17, the Association of Mature American Citizens released a press release alleging that the Congressional Budget Office said the Social Security Trust Fund will not have enough funds to make payouts beginning in 2030. The allegations are based on the Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) most recent long-term budget outlook published on July 15.
Dan Weber, president of the Association of Mature American Citizens, goes on to say in the press release that changes need to be made, starting with lawmakers putting a focus on the plight that current and future retirees will encounter.
The CBO, however, did note in the long-term budget outlook that budgetary outcomes will likely differ from their projections due to unexpected changes in the economy, demographics and other factors.
