Olive Branch Aims To Raise $25K For Domestic Adoption Assistance With Fundraiser At The Marcus Lindsey
LOUISVILLE (PRWEB) September 13, 2017 -- Tickets are selling fast for The Olive Branch Foundation’s The Giving Tree Gala on Nov. 3 at The Marcus Lindsey in downtown Louisville. Chief Executive Officer Anissa Neubauer said the foundation has a goal of raising $25K to support organizations which encourage and assist domestic adoptions. “We (Anissa and her husband, Kurt) formed this foundation after our own experience with domestic adoption,” Neubauer said. “It has been our mission to inspire others to adopt.”
In additional to raising domestic adoption awareness, The Olive Branch Foundation has helped individuals and organizations eliminate barriers to adoption by providing funding to support needs not covered by state or other private funding. For instance, a family couldn’t afford to pay for the expensive formula a baby required due to health issues, so The Olive Branch covered the $2,000 cost of a year’s supply.
Since 2009, The Olive Branch Foundation has helped many family service and child welfare organizations, including The Center for Women and Families, Maryhurst, Lifehouse Maternity Home, St. Joseph Children’s Home, Baptist Health Foundation, Home of the Innocent and many other organizations and individuals in Kentucky.
