Olum's Donation Drive Succeeds in Supporting Local Charities to Provide Toys for Kids in Need This Holiday
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (PRWEB) December 21, 2015 -- Olum's recently partnered with the Broome County 'Toys for Tots' and 'The Salvation Army's Christmas Bureau Toy Collection' program in the Syracuse area to help collect toys for needy children in the community. The donation drive was a success, as many members of the community generously contributed to the efforts to bring toys to those in need.
From November 17th through December 3rd, locals were encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to the Vestal and Johnson City stores in the Southern Tier, or to the North or East Syracuse locations in Central New York. These toys were distributed to needy children this Christmas season by the Broome County 'Toys for Tots' organization and the Salvation Army's Christmas Bureau in the Syracuse area.
"At Olum's, we really make efforts to support our community," said Andrea Livingston, a representative from Olum's of Binghamton. "This is especially true during the holiday season. We received many donations, and we hope that these toys were able to bring a little bit of joy to local children."
This is the fourth year in a row that Olum's and 'Toys for Tots' have partnered to help bring toys to needy children during the holiday season. All four locations of the independent retailer participated in the toy drive. Olum's is proud to be part of this worthwhile community program.
