Olympic Training Center to Host Sixth Annual Chula Vista Community Fun Run on Saturday, May 17, 2014
Chula Vista, CA (PRWEB) February 27, 2014 -- The sixth annual Chula Vista Community Fun Run is set for Saturday, May 17 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista (CVOTC). Set in one of the most inspirational locations in San Diego County, this family-friendly event offers participants a unique opportunity to run and walk along a scenic 5K course through the grounds of the Olympic Village.
The CVOTC, Friends of Chula Vista Park and Recreation, Chula Vista Recreation Department and other sponsors have joined efforts to produce the event that will benefit the recreation programs and services for youth and adults in Chula Vista.
Schools, groups, clubs and businesses are encouraged to participate as a team. Dogs (on leashes) and parents pushing strollers are welcome to participate in the event as well.
Registration, only $10 per person, is now open and includes a t-shirt. For more details and registration information, visit the Fun Run webpage.
A community expo and celebration with food, fun and music will follow the race.
