Omaha Steaks Announces Recall of Stuffed Chicken Breasts
Omaha, Neb. (PRWEB) July 13, 2015 -- Omaha Steaks today announced the recall of stuffed chicken breast products manufactured by Barber Foods, an AdvancePierre Foods company, packed on five dates in 2015 for potential Salmonella contamination. A small amount of the product was sold under the Omaha Steaks label and bears the establishment #P-4230A. No other Omaha Steaks chicken products are included in this recall.
Products involved in the recall and their date code, which can be found on the product label, include:
o Chicken Cordon Bleu date code ECREK
o Chicken Kiev date codes EIBOK and ECBIK
o Breast of Chicken with Broccoli & Cheese date codes ECEHK and ECEOK
The company has notified customers who have purchased these products or may have received these products as gifts. Omaha Steaks is working diligently to eliminate any possible risk to consumers and is working in conjunction with the USDA to ensure the public's safety. If you identify any of these products in your freezer, please discard them immediately.
