Omaha Treatment Center Announces Substance Abuse Programs
Omaha, NE (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- An Omaha treatment center is announcing that adult and adolescent programs focused on drug and alcohol addiction are now available through Drug Addiction Treatment Centers.
According to a report from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, "among persons aged 12 to 49 in 2012, the average age at first use was 16.6 years for PCP, 16.9 years for inhalants, 17.9 years for marijuana, 19.0 years for LSD, 20.0 years for cocaine, 20.3 years for Ecstasy, 22.1 years for stimulants, 22.3 years for pain relievers, 23.0 years for heroin, 23.6 years for tranquilizers, and 26.2 years for sedatives."
These programs expand the Omaha Treatment Center into new paths toward eliminating substance abuse problems. These paths include additional counseling sessions and group activities.
Cocaine, heroin, Oxycontin and benzodiazepines are just a few of the drugs that the treatment center helps people put in their past. Alcoholism, a disease that destroys people and families, is also addressed through the substance abuse treatment center’s programs.
The program offers a collective style of treatment options for clients. Its bottom line is to help all clients leave the Omaha Treatment Center with a structure in place for life outside of it. People come into these types of centers looking either for a new life or relief from their pain, and counselors and therapists on staff are ready to help.
An initial step is detoxification from all mind-altering substances. This is overseen by a well-trained medical staff, making sure clients are supported, guided and nurtured through these initial hours and days free from their drug of choice.
Learning to navigate through everyday life without alcohol and drugs is not easy alone. Adults and adolescents will understand that this is a process, one that is not over in a matter of days. The substance abuse treatment center helps people rebuild their lives from the inside out. Once people leave the treatment center, outpatient care and support is strongly suggested by counselors.
