Oncura Partners Holdings Introduces First Real-Time Telemedicine Ultrasound System for Veterinarians

OP Diagnostics recently signed an exclusive distribution agreement for the SonixTablet, which is the only ultrasound product available today with real-time telemedicine. The SonixTablet is manufactured by Ultrasonix, part of Analogic Corporation’s Global Ultrasound business.

According to Huber, the routine use of blood tests and radiographs are often not enough to provide an early diagnosis and early treatment options prior to an advanced cancer diagnosis. “More accessibility to ultrasound services in hospitals across the country will elevate all levels of medicine in the hospital setting, including oncology care, cardiology care and internal medicine care,” Huber adds.

Staff can be trained in their own hospital setting. Radiologists are available when needed during the actual real-time scanning procedure to provide oversight on the case being evaluated. The Oncura Partners telemedicine platform provides efficient ultrasound reports from Board Certified Radiologists and will soon include Radiographs and Cytopathology findings.
