One Step Retail Solutions Collect for a Cause raises over $10,000 for: The USO, UCLA Health Adopt-A-Family and MEND Poverty
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 18, 2014 -- One Step Retail Solutions hosted their first annual Collect for a Cause Fundraiser which supported three nonprofit 501(c) (3) charities including: MEND Poverty, The USO, and Adopt-A-Family UCLA Health. Monetary and hard goods donations were collected for these three groups through local businesses, staff support, clients, and community groups and organizations that were looking to offer a hand up this holiday season.
One Step Retail Solutions collected over $10,000 from monetary donations and through rigorous staff and community support, received an abundance of toys, blankets, and home goods to help numerous families this time of year. Due to the immense collaborative effort in collections, One Step Retail Solutions was able to adopt not just one, but multiple families through the UCLA Adopt-A-Family program.

On Sunday, December 14th, One Step Retail Solutions’ staff and family members, along with students from Albert Einstein Academy, visited MEND Poverty in Pacoima, CA to volunteer at their biggest event of the year. Volunteers were constantly on the go in various locations either boxing or sorting food and toys, decorating cookies with the kids, helping families select clothing for their children, or escorting families individually through the line to receive donations. The event was a huge success with over 200 families in attendance, and each family left with clothes, toys, wrapping paper and a box of food to cook a holiday meal for their family.
One Step Retail Solutions is delighted with the array of support for Collect for a Cause that will assist families in need from coast to coast during this holiday season. This fundraiser would not have been possible without the generous donations and efforts from local businesses, staff and community members. Special recognition goes out to Starbucks, Robeks, Dawson and Associates, CrossFit North Pasadena, Gio’s Baguettes, Rapid POS and Lester’s for their charitable contributions and involvement with Collect for a Cause. It was remarkable to see the combined efforts that came together for this fundraiser, which will definitely become an annual event for years to come.
