OnePoint Patient Care Integrates DoseSpot e-Prescribing Software To Meet Customer Needs
Needham Heights, MA (PRWEB) February 03, 2016 -- DoseSpot, an industry leader in e-Prescribing integration platforms for medical, dental and telehealth software, today announced that OnePoint Patient Care, a leading national hospice pharmacy services provider has successfully integrated DoseSpot. Through the partnership, OnePoint successfully completed Surescripts certification and their prescribers can now e-Prescribe controlled and non-controlled prescriptions to more than 65,000 pharmacies nationwide.
OnePoint's integrated Patient Care application suite includes Patient Care, an integrated solution utilized by hospice providers that treat more than 26,000 patients each day and features technology that improves both operational efficiency and cost effectiveness. OnePoint opted to further enhance this product offering by integrating the DoseSpot e-Prescribing solution to ensure an efficient and seamless prescription writing experience for their hospice partners.
“We are excited to partner with OnePoint and offer an e-Prescribing solution that could easily be integrated into their existing Patient Care applications for both web and mobile utilization,” said Greg Waldstreicher, CEO, DoseSpot. “For companies servicing the hospice industry, the ability to seamlessly e-Prescribe both controlled and non-controlled prescriptions is crucial.”
In 2014, DoseSpot completed a third-party EPCS (e-Prescribing of Controlled Substances) audit with Drummond Group Inc., a global software test and certification body which has been approved by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to audit EPCS software applications. Through DoseSpot, OnePoint also successfully completed an EPCS integration review by Drummond Group Inc. and OnePoint prescribers can now e-Prescribe controlled substances.
“OnePoint is thrilled to be able to now offer hospice partners a new, simple and effective way to order prescriptions, inclusive of controlled substances,” said Jeffery Hohl, CEO of OnePoint Patient Care. “Physicians working with our hospice partners can now seamlessly e-Prescribe through our Patient Care application. The application provides hospices with a single portal through which they can review patient profiles, utilize fill and refill capabilities and check on the status of orders. Now, by integrating e-Prescribing into our Patient Care app with DoseSpot, we have a partner committed to investing in the evolution of tools that drive efficiency, compliance and accountability for both hospice agencies and pharmacies.”
