Online Ecard Retailer Katie's Cards Announces New Company Ecard Service, Ecard Mint
(PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- Niche online ecard retailer, Katie’s Cards, has announced that it will be re-launching its company ecard service under the name Ecard Mint. Having worked hard to improve and expand its corporate communications service, Katie’s Cards is excited to announce that the new company ecard website will be launched towards the end of the summer.
Previously, the company ecard service was run on the same website and with the same branding as Katie’s Cards consumer ecards. Katie’s Cards CEO, Katie Davies, explains the reasons behind the development of a separate Ecard Mint entity:
“We decided that, as well as wanting to improve the service we offer, we want the increased functionality and sophistication of Ecard Mint to be reflected in its branding. In the past, our company ecard service has been used by big corporations and so, in order to attract more corporate customers, we must try to position ourselves as market leaders. The intimate, family feel of Katie’s Cards is, therefore, no longer appropriate for us to use.”
Though the Katie’s Cards consumer site will continue to run as it always has done, more resources will be channeled into Ecard Mint in time for the winter season - the busiest time of year for the company ecards.
Key changes include a complete overhaul of the services on offer to prospective corporate clients: whereas before, clients could choose between adapting an existing card themselves, having the Katie’s Cards team adapt one for them and commissioning a brand new bespoke ecard, this system has been replaced by a three-tiered membership plan. Corporate customers can now choose between Pay As You Go, Silver and Gold memberships.
The Pay As You Go membership is the most basic package available and is aimed at those who want to only send the occasional ecard. The Silver membership, which costs £295.00, includes one free ecard, which can be sent to up to 2000 recipients. There is then a small fee for each additional static or animated ecard sent. The most comprehensive package is the Gold membership which includes fifty ecards each year. This package is aimed at companies that want to send ecards on a regular basis and for a variety of different occasions. Additionally, each card can be sent to 10,000 recipients and it costs considerably less than the other two memberships to remove the Ecard Mint logo from the ecard. More details about the membership options are available on the temporary Ecard Mint website.
One of the greatest changes that Ecard Mint will bring is the possibility for companies to send corporate egreetings for many different occasions and at all times of the year. The Christmas period has always been the busiest time for Katie’s Cards and, though the Davies does not see this changing, there has been considerable demand from previous clients for a range of ecards that cover other occasions and festivals.
On the Ecard Mint website, therefore, there will be birthday ecards for companies to send to their staff and clients as well as New Year’s Eve and Hanukkah cards. The company hopes that Ecard Mint customers will also use the service to make announcements to staff, show individual clients or employees appreciation through the ‘thank you’ ecards, and to announce events and send invitations. These categories will exist in addition to the popular Christmas ecard options. Whilst a range of cards from each of these categories will be available on the Ecard Mint website, there will also be the option to request bespoke ecards for any occasion.
It is clear that the launch of Ecard Mint marks a considerable change of direction for Katie's Cards as it becomes purely a consumer ecard website. However, since no other companies are offering a comparable company ecard service, it is the perfect opportunity for Ecard Mint to become established as the market leader in this field.
