Online Gourmet Dog Treat Bakery Goes Local
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) October 01, 2013 -- Bone Appétit launched its website, GotTreats.com in 2005 with the aim of making high-quality, human-grade, gourmet dog treats available to anyone with an Internet connection and a credit card.
Based out of Raleigh, N.C., Bone Appétit Bakery founder Justin Frechette had long dreamed about opening up a brick-and-mortar location for his business. After years of selling his treats at festivals, parades, community events, and fundraisers, he felt it was time to create a more established presence.
“Even though we do so much of our business online, there’s something special about a physical location people can visit to buy your product,” Frechette said. “It was always just a matter of finding the right location for us.”
The right location surfaced recently in the form of the Raleigh Flea Market at the North Carolina Fairgrounds where, every weekend, thousands of Triangle-area residents trek through offerings from local small business owners.
Beginning Nov. 9, Bone Appétit Bakery will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to serve the local community. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
Bone Appétit’s store will feature a bakery case stocked with a variety of their decorated treats, including a line of holiday-themed treats, just in time for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas. They also will offer more than 10 varieties of wheat-, corn- and soy-free bagged treats, which are perfect for dogs with dietary restrictions or dogs that simply love good treats.
“My goal for the space is to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere with a boutique feel,” Frechette said. “And since dogs are welcome inside the building, we’re encouraging our customers to bring them along so they can get a free baked treat.”
The market is located at 1025 Blue Ridge Road in Raleigh. Bone Appétit’s sales spot will be situated inside the Flea Market’s Education building.
