Online Music Company Launches Eclipses Portal Strategy
Bergen County, NJ (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- An online music specialist has acquired the Eclipse Dynamics Portal (EDP) as a strategic platform to service their artist community.
EDP is a series of web-based portals that extend traditional ERP functions, which are limited to internal users, to users outside of a company’s firewalls. Eclipse launched EDP earlier this year to provide enhancements to standard Microsoft Dynamics GP features for companies that process a high volume of transactions, or require more flexibility in the manner of recording information.
The music company owner sees the portals as strategic to the growth of the company, "Artists want to view their specific metrics on how their songs are performing by event or geographic region. Market metrics are key in providing proper information. With EDP, we can provide self-service information from our back office Dynamics systems. We already use the Eclipse Royalty and Rights Management suite to calculate and pay royalties. Now we can provide artist earnings and performance in a self-service manner."
The company's Project Manager agrees, "We usually spend a great deal of time running and distributing reports to our customers. With the Eclipse suite, we can now provide information in a manner that customers are already using for banking or investments. EDP will allow us to provide more timely information to the artists we work with."
About Eclipse Computing Inc
Eclipse Computing Inc is a subsidiary of The Eclipse Group, founded in 1987 as an international consulting company. In 1995, Eclipse Computing Inc became a Microsoft certified developer and produced add-on modules to meet additional business requirements that did not exist within the standard Microsoft Dynamic GP product set.
With a number of clients operating in the merchandizing and publishing sectors, it became clear that there was a need for a specialized solution that could help these types of organizations to more effectively manage their royalty and rights accounting. This led to the development of the Eclipse Royalty and Rights Management System (ERRMS) in 1999.
Today, Eclipse provides best-in-class royalty and rights management solutions and Dynamics GP add-on products for the merchandizing, publishing and media & entertainment industries.
