Ootoya Opens 2nd Restaurant in the Heart of New York
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- America Ootoya Inc. today announced its opening of the second restaurant in Times Square on Saturday, August 3, 2013. The new location will be 141 W, 41st Street, New York, NY 10036.
With approximately 62 seats, including the semi-private area seating up to 16 people, Ootoya Time Square is designed by the same architect as Ootoya Chelsea, providing chic, modern, yet cozy atmosphere. Influenced by Ootoya’s signature lacquer ware, one section is painted with warm vermilion color, making it very homey overall.
Past the glass-fronted entrance greeted by sophisticated Japanese flower arrangement, Ikebana, the guests are welcomed with various beverages including house selected sake and beer at the counter or the standing bar. The imported furniture and selected European antique wares from Japan adds a rich and unique feel to the atmosphere, and the mini Japanese courtyard garden in the back is a therapeutic oasis in Times Square, soothing the guests from the busy city life.
Equipped with Ootoya’s custom made grills, bonito shaver, and soba station, the dining counter facing the open kitchen surrounded by imported Japanese stone bricks invites guests to enjoy the food while the dishes are carefully prepared by the skilled chefs. Ootoya Times Square will serve signature Teishoku menus, including “Pork Loin Cutlet,” which is chosen as the best of New York in 2013 by the New York Magazine. New menus will also be released including the following:
Maguro Yamakake Crystal Style
Blue fin tuna served with graded Japanese yam and organic poached egg with fried bonito flakes
Maguro Tartar Mini Soba
Blue fin tuna and soy sauce jelly served on top of homemade soba noodle
Ootoya Times Square and Ootoya Chelsea serve lunch from 11:30am to 2:30pm for weekdays, or 3:00pm for weekend, and dinner from 5:30pm to 10:30pm every day.
