Opelousas General Health System Plans Ribbon Cutting for the Opening of Cancer Center of Acadiana at Opelousas General Health System
Opelousas, LA (PRWEB) December 07, 2015 -- Opelousas General Health System, Lafayette General Health and St. Landry Chamber of Commerce cordially invite the community to attend a Business After Hours/Ribbon Cutting welcoming Dr. Deborah Johnson, Hematology/Oncology, and to celebrate the opening of Cancer Center of Acadiana at Opelousas General Heatlh System.
OGHS has partnered with Cancer Center of Acadiana, owned by Lafayette General Health to provide the latest innovation in medical oncology (chemotherapy) treatment. Cancer Center of Acadiana has several locations in the Acadiana region.
“Patients don’t need to travel outside of our community for nationally recognized cancer treatment. Our highly qualified, experienced team of physicians and clinical staff are specially trained to treat all types of cancer. This comprehensive approach to caring for cancer patients is a great addition to medical services within our region,” said Kenneth Cochran, President/CEO of Opelousas General Health System.
Dr. Johnson, a native of Opelousas with Cancer Center of Acadiana, is transferring her practice to Opelousas General Health System. She has extensive experience in treating sever cases of cancer. Dr. Johnson completed her Residency and Internship in Internal Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and completed her Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.
