Open Mobile Implements Acumatica’s ERP System in 90 Days
Kirkland, WA (PRWEB) October 09, 2013 -- Acumatica, a global leader in cloud-based ERP solutions for small- and medium-sized companies, announced today the publication of its latest case study, which features cell phone company Open Mobile’s migration to Acumatica’s system in only 90 days.
A Puerto Rico-based telecommunications company with hundreds of employees and tens of thousands of customers, Open Mobile was looking to replace their old financial system with something more nimble, affordable, and intuitive, according to the company’s Chief Financial Officer, Federico Grosso.
Open Mobile’s Senior Director of Information Systems, Rafael Diaz, was frustrated by their former product’s lack of compatibility with Microsoft Office, as well as its lack of features. “We had no control over the system. I would need to go to the vendor even for the most insignificant issues,” said Diaz.
With Acumatica, Diaz realized there would be no such issues. He considered Oracle eBusiness Suite and Microsoft Dynamics as well, but opted for Acumatica in the end.
New Day Technology (NDT) assisted in transition Open Mobile’s data to Acumatica’s system. “I don’t think there has been such a successful implementation here as this one,” said Diaz.
In addition to being able to customize the system and integrate it with existing programs, Open Mobile’s employees can access their data from anywhere, even when they are away from their computers.
