Open Source Tech Company Virtuabotix.com Looks to Start Portland Meetup Group
Portland, OR (PRWEB) February 27, 2015 -- Virtuabotix LLC, a well-known robotics and components company has recently moved to Portland, OR, five years after they started their business in Colorado Springs, CO. The team is eager to start branching out and meeting locals interested in working on exciting projects and using their products in a team environment.
Virtuabotix has been part of many educational programs, some of which include; The Colorado Technical Institute’s IEEE Group’s Quad Copter Project, Versalino Rover projects, and Advanced Color Tracking Program. They were also on the Electronics Advisory Board for Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado and helped teachers develop their Sensors and microcontroller classes. With a rich history in educating the youth and working with beginners in Robotics and 3D Printing Virtuabotix has taught a multitude of classes at various Elementary and Middle schools in Colorado Springs. “We love community outreach programs and sharing our knowledge of open source technology!” Exclaims Joe Dattilo, Owner and Operator of Virtuabotix LLC. He expresses his interest in working with established institutions like PCC and OSU, he also has his eye on OMSI as well as an interest in participating in local fairs and trade shows. “We really want to expand into the vast arts and Go Green networks here and start working on environmental and kinetic art projects.” adds Joe. His enthusiastic outlook and creative ideas are a perfect springboard to immerse the company in Portland culture.Virtuabotix.com already has a large inventory of components which could be easily translated into farmer and artist projects, things like solar cells, humidity sensors, and a large range of motors and lasers. Virtuabotix has started growing it’s team and is actively looking to begin collaborating and creating new curriculums with local schools and groups in Portland, OR and the surrounding areas.
