Orlando Music Game that is Fun and Educational is the Focus of New Fundraiser on Kickstarter
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 24, 2014 -- A musician and a designer from Los Angeles, Calif. recently launched a fundraiser on the Kickstarter website to raise money to fund the production of their Orlando Music Game. The game is a kit that contains domino-like pieces and cards that represent various musical concepts.
As an article that accompanies the Orlando Music Game fundraising page on Kickstarter explains, the story of the new and innovative game began when the musician attempted to teach his designer friend some basic musical concepts. After unsuccessfully using music paper and pencils, the pair decided to print the notes, clefs and other musical symbols on cards. Several weeks later, they changed most of the cards to pieces that look like dominos, and the Orlando Music Game was born.
After testing out their fun and educational music game for a year on many groups of kids—and finding that their game was overwhelmingly appreciated and enjoyed by the children—the two decided to produce their game kits en masse. The duo launched the fundraising drive on Kickstarter in order to finance the production of a larger amount of kits.
The kit, which is ideal for kids ages 5 up to adult, includes five basic games. While younger kids might need some help from an adult to understand the parts of the game kit and to go over the basic rules, older kids can typically learn the rules on their own. In addition to teaching about musical activities and concepts, the Orlando Music Game can help children develop emotionally and cognitively; develop self-discipline, and improve their ability to work in a group.
