Orlando Singles Hosts Food Drive Benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida

One of the focal points of Orlando Singles is serving the needs of local singles in the Orlando area by being involved in the community, and over the next few months Orlando Singles will be hosting a food drive that benefits Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. The Orlando Singles staff is excited to be working with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida to help those individuals who are food insecure. Since 2006, there has been a 152% increase of individuals who are seeking assistance. On average, more than 55,000 people in the Orlando area receive assistance every week.
“The holidays can be a stressful and anxious for everyone – or it can be a fun and exciting time! We love to be able to give back wherever, and whenever we can to those who need it,” stated Cristina Vila, Orlando Singles Membership Manager.
The Orlando matchmaking company would like to be able to donate more than 100 pounds of food between now and Christmas to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. To attain the goal, the staff will be encouraging current members to drop off food at the office or bring it to any of the upcoming singles events. New members who bring canned food items to their initial relationship consultation will be eligible for exclusive membership offers.
