Orthopedic ONE Grows to Nearly 60 Physicians
Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) May 27, 2014 -- Six months after the merger that led to the formation of Orthopedic ONE, Ohio’s largest physician-owned orthopedic practice is increasing its roster of physicians from 54 to 57. Three new surgeons will join the practice in the coming months, including Dr. Randall R. Wroble, Dr. Thomas J. Ellis and Dr. Craig N. Dimitris.
Wroble, previously with Sports Medicine Grant and Orthopaedic Associates, will begin seeing patients in June. Ellis, formerly with The Ohio State University’s Department of Orthopaedics, plans to begin practice in late August; and Dimitris also intends to join in late August upon completion of his fellowship training at SUNY Upstate Medical University in New York.

Wroble will join Orthopedic ONE on June 9 after more than 20 years with Sports Medicine Grant and Orthopaedic Associates, where he was well known for his dedication to the sports medicine community in central Ohio and beyond. Wroble will continue to serve the athletic community, and support Orthopedic ONE’s existing sports medicine team.
Fellowship-trained in sports medicine at the Cincinnati SportsMedicine/University of Cincinnati’s Noyes-Giannestras Biomechanics Lab, he specializes in the treatment of sports medicine injuries, as well as knee and shoulder surgery.
Wroble currently serves as chairman of the Ohio State Medical Association Joint Advisory Committee on Sports Medicine; chairman of the Sports Medicine Committee of the Columbus Medical Association; and member of the Ohio Athletic Training Association’s Physician Advisory Group.
He is team physician at Ohio University, Olentangy Liberty High School and Grove City High School. Throughout his career, he has provided orthopedic sports medicine coverage to many local and national athletic programs and events, and is very active within the high school and collegiate wrestling world.
Wroble will see patients at Orthopedic ONE’s Gahanna/Reynoldsburg, Hilliard and Westerville locations. He has surgical privileges at Grant Hospital, Polaris Surgery Center and Eastside Surgery Center.

Thomas J. Ellis, M.D.
Ellis will begin practice at Orthopedic ONE's Dublin location in late August, after serving the Ohio State University College of Medicine for seven years as vice-chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics, where he led the Hip Preservation Center.
His practice focuses exclusively on hip pain in the young adult (less than 60 years old), and he has developed expertise in the treatment of hip labral tears, femoroacetablular impingement, trochanteric bursitis, hip dysplasia, hip arthritis and avascular necrosis. He has extensive experience in hip arthroscopy for labral tears/femoroacetablular impingement, as well as, the Ganz periacetablular osteotomy for hip dysplasia, femoral osteotomies, and anterior hip replacement.
Ellis obtained his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University. He subsequently completed his orthopedic residency at Texas A&M University. In addition, he has completed fellowship training in total joint arthroplasty and orthopedic trauma. He has been voted a Top Doctor by his peers in Columbus Monthly and Portland Monthly magazines every year since 2003.
An award-winning educator, Ellis has also contributed to many research programs, prominent orthopedic publications and national and international orthopedic meetings and symposiums.
He enjoys many other activities outside of orthopedic surgery, including spending time with his wife and three children, hunting, fishing and watersports.

Craig N. Dimitris, M.D.
Dimitris plans to begin seeing patients at Orthopedic ONE in late August 2014. He is currently completing his fellowship-training in hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery at SUNY Upstate Medical University. In addition to his general orthopedic training, Dimitris will have advanced training in the treatment of conditions and injuries from the clavicle extending to fingertips, including shoulder replacement surgery, rotator cuff surgery and microvascular surgery.
Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, he earned the majority of his medical training in central Ohio. A graduate of the Ohio State University College of Medicine, he completed his orthopedic residency with Mount Carmel Health System.
Dr. Dimitris will practice out of Orthopedic ONE’s Hilliard and Grove City offices. He resides in Dublin, Ohio, with his wife and 18-month-old daughter. His wife is also a physician in the central Ohio community.
