A veteran in the vacation rental industry, Scott has over 20 years of experience in vacation rental management and real estate and is a former President of the North Carolina Vacation Rental Managers Association.

Scott is a graduate from the University of Hawaii and has an extensive background in not only the local Outer Banks vacation rental management business, but also the Northeast North Carolina real estate sales industry.
Along with his years of experience in the vacation rental industry, Scott is a past Chairman of several significant local groups including the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce, the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, and the Hatteras Island Council of the Chamber of Commerce.
He currently serves on several local boards including the Outer Banks Community Foundation, Chicamacomico Banks Fire and Rescue, Outer Banks Community Care Clinic, and the Hatteras Island Business Association.
Scott currently resides in Rodanathe, North Carolina, and is married to Shauna Leggat who is a librarian at Cape Hatteras Elementary School. He is the proud father of three boys and three girls and has seven grandchildren.
