St. Augustine, FL (PRWEB) January 06, 2014 -- HGTV, home and garden television, recently featured St. Augustine bed and breakfast owners Mike and Sandy Wieber in the second season of one of the network's newest real estate shows.
Beachfront Bargain Hunt follows homeowners looking for a beachfront vacation property on a budget. The Wiebers were looking for a private getaway that would give them a quick getaway from the work of running a popular bed and breakfast in St. Augustine, Florida.
"Shooting the show was fun," says Sandy Wieber, who says the show was filmed at the end of October. "HGTV is my favorite television network, and it was a great opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes perspective of the work that goes into each episode."
'We were really excited that the show was interested in showing off so much of St. Augustine," says Mike Wieber. "We were filmed visiting the Colonial Quarter, St. Augustine beach, Vilano Beach pier, and Ripley's Bayfront Miniature Golf, right on the bay in the historic district. Of course, they also shot footage of our waterfront bed and breakfast. The cameramen kept saying how beautiful everything was, and how many great shots they found in St. Augustine."
The couple also shot scenes at two local restaurants, Cap's on the Water on Vilano Beach, and the Conch House on Anastasia Island. Those scenes were filmed with the Wiebers' Realtor, Ryan Ford, of Watson Realty.
