Oxnard, Woodland Hills, Calif. Dentists Offering Teeth-In-A-Day
Oxnard, CA (PRWEB) January 25, 2014 -- Two California dentists are bringing a European dental technique to their Ventura County dental offices.
Dr. Saj Jivraj and Dr. Mamaly Reshad recently opened two new locations of the Anacapa Dental Art Institute – one in Oxnard and one in Woodland Hills. The two prosthodontists specialize in implant, cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. While still not common in the U.S., Teeth-In-A-Day is a specialty of both dentists.
“Teeth-In-A-Day allows us to take a patient with dentures or no teeth and, in a one day, place the implants. That gives them permanent, natural teeth without the need for bone grafting and other complex procedures,” Reshad said. “In many cases, patients will finish one visit with permanent teeth in a day, which includes the All-On-Four process.”
The All-on-Four procedure provides a set of replacement teeth with a full arch implant rehabilitation without using bone grafting, which is often required for dental implants. Both Jivraj and Reshad are published authors and international lectures on the All-on-Four method.
Jivraj said All-on-Four was developed 15 years ago in Europe. Prior to the method in Europe – and still the standard in the U.S. – was for patients with failing teeth to have their teeth removed, and then wait for the gums to heal. The patient would then have to wear dentures for up to six months while their new teeth were being made.
“Today, we have the ability and the technology that we can remove their teeth, we can place implants the same day and we can give them teeth that same day,” Jivraj said. “Patients can arrive in the morning with a failing set of teeth and leave the same day with permanent teeth on implants.”
This is possible because of the Anacapa Dental Art Institute’s state-of-the-art in-house dental lab.
