PA DCED Recognizes DonorPro as Governor’s ImPAct Award Winner
Harrisburg, PA (PRWEB) June 05, 2015 -- On Thursday, May 21, Team Pennsylvania Foundation President Laura Williams recognized DonorPro for creating jobs and making positive contributions to the state’s economy, as part of the 2015 Governor’s ImPAct Awards. President, Donna J. Myers, accepted the award at a ceremony at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, Pa.
“It is truly a great honor to be recognized for strengthening the nonprofit community in Pennsylvania and around the world. We feel fortunate to be able to partner with thousands of organizations doing incredible social good,” Myers said.
DonorPro (donorpro.com) was named a winner of the ImPAct Awards because of their significant growth in employment and the positive impact their nonprofit software is having on nonprofit organizations. The company has generated a 650% growth in employment in southwestern Pennsylvania and a 500% growth in revenue.
In addition, its’ nonprofit software serves more than a thousand not-for-profit organizations throughout the United States and around the world. DonorPro has helped clients realize over 35% average gains in annual donations (seven times the national average) through it’s software, training, and marketing services.
The Governor’s ImPAct Awards recognized 50 companies from throughout the state in five categories: Jobs That Pay, Community Impact, Small Business Impact, Entrepreneurial Impact, and Export Impact. DonorPro was the recipient of a Community ImPAct Award.
Community ImPAct Award - This award is given to a company that exemplifies the tenet of "doing well by doing good." The winners in this category show a sustained commitment to the growth and development of their employees and the communities in which they do business.

DonorPro was nominated for the award by the Partnerships for Regional Economic Performance (PREP) network. Each of the 10 PREP regions submitted up to five nominations per category.
The PREP network works to regionalize and coordinate local economic development services to businesses and entrepreneurs.
The Department of Community and Economic Development provides grants through PREP to local economic development service providers that provide assistance and other resources to support local business expansion and growth.
The awards were sponsored by the state’s private sector partner, Team Pennsylvania Foundation, and were coordinated by DCED, Team Pennsylvania Foundation (Team PA), and Journal Multimedia.
Representatives from Team PA and Journal Multimedia evaluated the nominations and selected the award recipients.
