Pacebands, LLC Awarded Patent by USPTO For Innovative Product
Middleton, MA (PRWEB) December 14, 2015 -- Pacebands, LLC announced the issuance of USPTO patent #9,205,316 relating to the products that can be found on their website at http://www.pacebands.com. “This is a great moment for us as to have our invention recognized to be novel and defensible” said Gretchen Fishman, Managing Director at Pacebands.
Pacebands were invented to solve an age old problem amongst athletes. Namely, that it is very difficult to keep track of one’s pace during an athletic contest or race. Doing math during peak levels of exertion can prove to be difficult which is why many athletes take to employing techniques such as writing the data on their arms with pens or markers. Other athletes fashion their own bands from paper and tape them to their wrists. Pacebands traded on the popularity of silicone wrist bands used to support causes by releasing lightweight affordable bands that come pre-made for various distances and finish times in multiple color options. “With some simple proprietary tweaks we were able to produce a highly legible, durable, and reusable device at an affordable price point” said Fishman.
The company currently produces bands in multiple colors for various distances including the marathon, half marathon, and 5k. They also have a kilometers option for some of their products.
