Packaging Partners Expands Manufacturing Capabilities with New Equipment
LAWRENCE, Mass. (PRWEB) May 21, 2018 -- Packaging Partners is rapidly expanding manufacturing capabilities and capacity as demand for its protective and specialty packaging products has increased significantly. Packaging Partners recently purchased a 120 ton die-cutter. This new die-cutter has the capacity to die-cut even the toughest materials quickly, efficiently and accurately. The new die-cutter was acquired due to demand from the aerospace, electronics and medical device industries for tight tolerance parts. “We have the capability to manufacture tight tolerance, delicate parts for aerospace, electronics and medical device,” explains Packaging Partners’ Plant Manager, Ken Cox.
Packaging Partners also recently purchased a vacuum forming machine. This vacuum forming machine has a large 24”x48” bed, making it capable of producing large, complex parts efficiently. “We have a number of anchor customers for our new vacuum forming equipment. We feel there’s a large market for small and mid-sized runs of complex thermoformed parts. The fact that we’re ISO 9001-2015 has really helped drive demand. People know we’re doing it right every time, and it’s documented,” Cox noted.
Packaging Partners has also expanded its plastic corrugated operation, adding converting equipment and people. This department boasts sonic welding, die-cutting, scoring, printing, assembly and gluing equipment, making it capable of producing just about anything imaginable out of plastic corrugated. Typical plastic corrugated products are cartons, totes, bins, sheets, reusable containers and in-store displays.
